Obsession, now on tap!

Intended to be a refreshing, thirst quenching beer for summer! Obsession’s flavor is defined by the use of rye malt and a healthy portion of hops. Rye contributes a unique earthy and spicy quality to the base and the exclusive use of Falconer’s Flight 7 C’s hops provide a desirable piney, citrusy character to the flavor and aroma.  While this is a lighter bodied beer, dry hopping gives this beer a big hoppy personality!

Available starting June 13, and making its return to the RBC lineup, will be the Wheat Nipper! Now made with 100% Michigan grown and malted barley & wheat! This is the perfect beer for the summer. Keep an eye out for another announcement regarding another summer brew that will also be released June 13!

Description: This bright hop forward wheat ale is light and refreshing. Wheat Nipper displays more hop character and much less yeast character than our weissbier, “White Pine Wheat”. It is brewed with 100% Falconers Flight hops, which are described to have tropical fruit, lemon, and grapefruit type flavors! Fermented with an American yeast allows for a clean, dry finish.

It’s almost here… Rockford’s Start of Summer Celebration! We’ll be hosting our very own beer tent this year from June 13-15. Each night there will be live entertainment. Current schedule is as follows…

Thursday, June 13
-Beer tent opens at 6pm
-Special Beer Release. One new & one re-release (One released inside the brewery, one released in the beer tent).
-Live music from Delilah DeWylde & The Lost Boys at 8pm

Friday, June 14
-Beer tent opens at 3pm
-Live music from Fauxgrass Quartet at 8pm

Saturday, June 15
-Beer tent opens at 12pm
-Live music from The Moonrays at 6pm
-Live music from The Dushanes at 8pm

*Beer tent located in south parking lot of RBC. Tent closes at 11pm each night, brewery open later.

1st Annual Group Bike Event! Tomorrow, Saturday, June 1st – Rain or shine!

This fun group cycling ride down the White Pine Trail will start with a meet up and beer at Rockford Brewing Co., and end at Brewery Vivant with a Beer Garden Bike Party. Area cycling proponents and shops will be in attendance. All levels welcome, join us! Raise awareness for alternative transportation and more bike lanes in GR!

Noon – 1pm: Power Hour at Rockford Brewing Co. Meetup, beer, and high-fives.
1pm: Depart from RBC
2-5pm: Beer Garden Bike Party at Brewery Vivant. Beer, food, and bikes!

*An informal ride from GR to Rockford will depart Brewery Vivant at 10:30am.
